Why does the powder taste so much better?

We think the improved taste stems from the addition of baking soda (which was added to improve alkalinity).

Frankly, we were a bit (pleasantly) surprised that the taste improved. As with all of our products, we consider things like taste, color and texture to be superficial qualities and a byproduct of the carefully chosen ingredients we use. Unlike most personal care companies, these superficial qualities are not our endgame.
